Fencing Training Back to Normal

All fencing sessions are being run as normal this week at Fraser Park.

Tuesday: 6 – 7pm beginners, 6 – 8pm for seniors and 8 – 9pm for conditioning

Thursday: 6 – 7pm beginners, 6 – 9pm seniors

Saturday: 10 – 12pm

Thank you for bearing with us last week and we all look forward to seeing you this week at training!

Oceania Pre-Competition Camp Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 April 2019

The organisers of the NZ U15 and Oceania Cadet Championships are pleased to announce that with the support of the Oceania Fencing Confederation, there will be a pre-competition camp held on 23 and 24 April 2019, in Wellington, NZ.

The camp will be at the Tindall Gym, Wellington High School, Taranaki Street, Wellington, the same venue as the competition.

Oceania Fencing Confederation have kindly made Mr Leon Thomas available to direct the camp. Mr Thomas will be supported by visiting and local coaches.

Due to some technical difficulties, those who have already entered the NZ and Oceanic cadet and U15 Champs need to re-enter this competition asap.

Fencing New Zealand and Fencing Central welcomes you to the NZ U15 and Oceania Fencing Confederation Cadet Championships for 2019. This event will be held at Wellington High School on 25th to 28th April, 2019. Entries close 14th of April.

Clothing and Equipment Standard:

All clothing must conform to FIE standards – including 800N jacket, breeches, plastron, 1600N masks with new FIE safety strap, gloves with no holes, no curly head wires, FIE blades.

Name, country code, national emblems are NOT required.

Entry fees: 1 weapon $30.00, 2+weapons $45.00 – payable at registration. Cash please.

Equipment: Must comply with FeNZ domestic competition requirements (1150N combined jacket/plastron, 350N breeches, FIE blades, sabre cuffs etc.) New FIE mask attachments not required. Spare weapons and wires required piste-side.
Weapons control on the piste.

Note: all events fenced mixed age and mixed gender. Highest placed fencer by gender receives the title, where two or more fencers exit in the same round, a 15 point fence-off for the title will take place.
