We are pleased to announce that Hutt Valley Fencing Club will be running an In House Foil competition on the 10th of December. This will take place instead of our normal Saturday morning training.
There is no additional charge to compete in this competition. We will be running from St Bernard’s at the end of Anderson Grove as Normal as well. Please take of the note of the timetable below:
9.00am – 9.30am – Warm up and registration
9.30am- 12.00pm – Fencing commences
12.00pm – 12.30pm – Prize giving
12.30pm – 1.00pm – Kit down/Pack down

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL LOANED GEAR IS EITHER RETURNED THIS THURSDAY TEH 1ST OF DECEMBER OR AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE FENCING COMPETITION TAKING PLACE ON THE 10TH OF DECEMBER.
Our Saturday class will be running on the 3rd and the 10th of December with some changes. We have noted these changes below:
Saturday the 3rd of December
We will be running a grading session this weekend session for those who have been fencing with us for a term or longer. Fencers who achieve their level 1 grading will be present with their recognition at the conclusion of the following Saturday session.
For our Under 11s, this class will be running at our normal time of 11am – 12pm with optional free fencing until 12.30pm.
For our intermediate fencers, the class will be running 11am – 12.30pm as normal.
Saturday the 10th of December
We will be running an in house fencing competition for our regular Saturday attendees between 9am and 1pm. We will be catering this competition to our under 9s, under 11s and 13 and older fencers.
For our senior fencers, we are in need of some desperate help to be able to facilitate this competition. We require numerous referees to ensure that we are able to run this competition and have it completed in a timely manner. Fencing Central and our club would like to invite all of you to attend the Fencing Central awards lunch in celebration of the 2022 Fencing Calendar.
This is going to be held at Days Bay Pavilion in Eastborune on the 4th of December, commencing at 1pm. Please register by the 1st of December via the link below.

At the end of every year, as apart of Fencing Central, we come together to celebrate success both on and off the piste at the Fencing Central Annual Award Lunch.
While some awards are determined by competition results, there are also several awards that you can nominate members of the Fencing Central community for to acknowledge their contributions to the sport.
You can make nominations for some or all award categories. For all nominations, please briefly state your reason for the nomination.

The 2022 Fencing Central Award Evening will be held on Sunday 4th December. Full details, including venue and registration form will be released as these become available.
