Central Champs 25th and 26th of May – Help Needed

Hutt Valley Fencing Club is running the Central Championship for 2019 and we would like to ask the parents and members of our club to help us with a couple of things.

If you are interested or can help with the running of café over the weekendplease do not hesitate in asking Gita at gee.pillai@gmail.com. 

We also need people to help out with the set up of the competition venue on Friday the 24th of May at 5:30pm. Please let Una know at president.huttvalleyfencing@gmail.com.

Fencing Term 2 – 30/04/19

Fencing classes begin as usual from Tuesday the 30th of April at 35 Percy Cameron St, Avalon, Lower Hutt.

Thursday: 6.00 – 9.00pm Intermediate & Senior
Saturday: 10.00 – 12.00pm All ages and abilities

Central U11 and U13 #1 Competition

Fencing Central in conjunction with Wellington Swords Club invite you to attend the 2019 U11 and U13 #1 Fencing Competition on Sunday 7th April.

This event will be held at the WSC building, Tenera Park, Brooklyn, with a registration of 9.00am for a 9.30am start.

This is a foil only competition, consisting of two rounds of poules. Entry fee is $10.00

Entries are due by Thursday 4th April, and can be made by emailing bishop.lamb@pistingaround.com

AGM and Fraser Park Sportsville Open Day Reminder

Just a quick reminder that the Hutt Valley Fencing Club AGM is next Tuesday the 26th of March 2019 at 8pm. We would like to invite as many parents and senior club members as possible to attend. We are going to outline what has happened in the past 12 months and possibly have some time at the end for questions and answers.

Please note that we are also looking for nominations for comittee positions. Please do not hesitate in putting yourself forward for one of the roles.

Also for those fencers that have been asked to assist with the Fraser Park Sportsville Open Day taking place this Sunday the 24th of March, Una will contact you by Thursday for details and what time that you are needed there on the day.

 

Fencing Training Back to Normal

All fencing sessions are being run as normal this week at Fraser Park.

Tuesday: 6 – 7pm beginners, 6 – 8pm for seniors and 8 – 9pm for conditioning

Thursday: 6 – 7pm beginners, 6 – 9pm seniors

Saturday: 10 – 12pm
