National U15 and Cadet Championship

Fencing New Zealand and Fencing Central invite you to attend the 2020 New Zealand National Under 15 and Cadet Championships.

Key Information

Date:	25th April 2020 to 27th April 2020
Venue:	Upper Gym, Wellington High School, Taranaki Street, Wellington
Eligibility:	The U15 competition is open to all fencers who were under 15 years of age on 1st January 2020. The Cadet competition is open to all fencers who were under 17 years of age on 1st January 2020. Fencers must be at least 11 years old on the day of the event – refer to the FeNZ Minimum Age Policy.

Entry Form:	Click here to enter. Please note that entries are due by 10:00pm Monday 30th March 2020. Late entries close Friday 17th April and will attract a $50 late fee. Entries received after this date (17th April) are at discretion of the Head DT and Head Referee.

Torso:	350N (CEN 1) or 800N (CEN 2) (jacket & plastron 1150N total)
Breeches:	350N (CEN 1)
Gloves:	800 N (CEN 1) (sabre only) (no body wire hole)
Chest protector:	Compulsory for women’s events.
Foil:	Lamé bibs (curly mask wires are not permitted) and FIE blades required, Bayonet and 2 pin body wires accepted. FIE no. 3 size blades are acceptable.
Épée:	FIE blades required. Leon Paul SR-71 blades that are stamped 2013 to 2015 will not be accepted. Leon Paul V blade without a unique serial number will not be accepted.
Sabre:	FIE blades S2000 or later blades required. Curly mask wires are not permitted.
Masks & Bibs:	350N (CEN 1) All masks must fit well and be in good condition. The elastic strap shall be in good working order with elasticity and be able return to its original position after stretching, without deformation. The hook and loop securing the elastic shall be capable of retaining the elastic and resisting removal. Leon Paul X-Change masks must have a secondary strap/bar. Visor masks are strictly prohibited for all 3 weapons
