The Wellington Open Invitational (WIFE) competition hosted by VUWSC is fast approaching! If you are not sure about competing, make sure to talk to your coach at training this week.

The national Secondary School champs are fast approaching, hosted in Wellington from 8th to 10th September. Registrations are now open for individual and teams events.

You must be in school year 9 to 13 to be eligible to compete, and composite school teams are not permitted.

Can all club members who are currently borrowing club equipment please return it urgently if you are not using it for any of the upcoming competitions. We are missing a number of bodywires, maskwires, plastrons, and foils, which other club members need to use.

Just to clarify for everyone; the Secondary School Teams foil event is being held tomorrow (Sunday 18th June) at the St. Bernard’s College Main Gym. This can be accessed from Waterloo Road or Anderson Grove.

Weapons control begins at the venue at 8.30am, registration at 8.45am, and fencing will commence at 9.00am. Good luck to all fencers who are competing.
