Holiday Fencing (Part 2)

We will be back at the clubrooms this Tuesday (10th Oct) from 6.30pm till 8.30pm. This is to provide the opportunity for you to complete preliminary gear checks, and arrange borrowing equipment, in the lead up to the Central Open competition this weekend. There will also likely be the opportunity for some self-managed free play.

If you are intending to compete, get in quick as spaces are limited to 20 per weapon. Details can be found here: Central Open October.

Central Open Competition

Wellington Swords club is hosting the 2017 Central Open Competition on 14th and 15th October, at the Wellington Bowling Club in Brooklyn.

Spaces are limited to 20 per weapon, so make sure to get in now if you want to compete. This will be a great warm-up after the holidays for those of you going to Auckland for NZ and Oceania Opens. Entries are due by 12th October.

Registration and full details can be found here: Central Open October

Holiday Fencing

Una has kindly offered to open up the club rooms this Thursday (5th Oct) so that you can get in a bit of casual fencing. This is a great idea to keep up your fitness in the lead up to Central and National champs later in the month.

This will be a self run session, so is recommended for intermediate and senior level fencers, though anyone is welcome, and will run from approximately 6.30pm till 8.30pm.

See you all there!

U11/U13 #3 Competition

The third 2017 Central U11/U13 competition is being held next Sunday at the HVFC clubrooms. Make sure to get your entry in by the 22nd September if you wish to compete.

We strongly recommend competing if you can make it. It is a fantastic learning opportunity for all of our younger fencers, and is always good fun! If you need to borrow any equipment, this can be arranged at training this week.
