Term 4 Fencing Notices

The final term of fencing for 2018 is rapidly approaching. There’s a lot to look forward to, including National Champs, Baby Cham, Koalas, and the Central Awards evening. All club sessions will continue from Tuesday 16th October,

In anticipation of the new term, there have been some minor changes to the training schedule for Tuesdays:

6.00 – 9.00pm Intermediate and Senior session run by Robert. The senior class will now begin at 6.00pm, with the first hour being focussed on fitness and footwork development. The remaining two hours will focus on bladework and freeplay. If you are not able to make the new earlier start time, you can join in from the usual 7.00pm. The fitness training may be held on the outdoor field so a change of footwear is advised.

If you want to take part in the high-performance conditioning training this term, please email huttvalleyfencing@gmail.com to register your interest and give us an idea of numbers.

There is casual fencing available at the clubrooms this Wednesday from 1.00pm to 4.00pm which everyone is welcome to attend. Attendance is free for all club members.

Enjoy the rest of the break. Looking forward to seeing you all back at fencing next week!

End of Term 3

We are fast approaching the end of yet another successful term of fencing.  Well done to everyone who has been working hard at their goals over the term, and a special congratulations to those who competed at the National Secondary Schools, Central Under 20’s, and the Junior Commonwealths. There are still a few more competitions coming up this year, so keep on the lookout for details of these.

The 10.00am session on Saturday 29th September will be the last class for term 3, and everyone is welcome to come along. There will be a two week break over the school holiday, with fencing resuming on Tuesday 16th October. There may be some casual fencing over the break, so keep an eye on the club Facebook group for details of these.

Well done on a great term everyone, and enjoy a well-deserved break!
