Hutt Valley Fencing Club and Fencing Central invite you to attend the Fencing Central Championship and Team Foil and Team Epee Challenge 2018 on 19 and 20 May.

Entries are due by 17th May. Entries after this date will incur a late entry fee.

Please ensure that you are affiliated if you are competing in this event. If not, click here to affiliate now.

 

Time and Date:

• Individual Epee – 9.15am, Saturday 19 May
• Individual Sabre – 11.00am, Saturday 19 May
• Individual Foil – 8.30am, Sunday 20 May
• Teams Epee and Foil will be held at the conclusion of the respective individual event
• Weapons control will be one hour before each event

Venue:

• Wellington High School (Upper Gym), Taranaki Street, Wellington

Just a reminder that 2017 FENZ affiliations expired on 31st March. If you have not yet renewed your affiliation, please follow this link and sign up www.dev.fencing.org.nz. Select Fencing Central as your region, and then choose the appropriate membership type.

Who should affiliate?
Preferably everyone (choose the lowest $30 category if you are new and not yet competing), definitely everyone who has been fencing with us since last year.
It is not a lot of money, but it makes all the difference to the sport.

Due to the Easter break, there will be no fencing classes or high-performance conditioning on Saturday 31st March.

However, Tuesday 3rd April both the 6.00pm junior and 7.00pm intermediate/senior classes will be running as per usual.

We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation over the past few weeks whilst class times and venues have been disrupted. We hope to be able to provide more certain arrangements for times when we do not have access to the clubrooms in future.

All sessions will be running at usual times from this week onwards. See below for the full list of available class times.

Unfortunately, the Avalon Rugby Club has just informed us that they have double booked us for the ‘Green Room’ where we have been training this week. They have given priority to the rugby squad. We are not able to arrange an alternative venue at such short notice, so all classes tonight are cancelled.
