Due to anticipated low attendance and limited coach availability as a result of the President’s Cup competition this weekend, the decision has been made to cancel the 10.00am class this Saturday (7th July). We apologise for the late notice of this cancellation.

The 9.00am high-performance conditioning will still be on for those who indicated that they would be attending this week.

Due to the cancellation of the Saturday session, this evening was the last session of fencing for term 2. Fencing will resume again on Tuesday 24th July for term 3. We hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing break!

Reminder that entries are open for President’s Cup 2018. This is a national level open event, and is a fantastic opportunity to fence new people and gain a lot of experience. If you are unsure about attending, make sure to talk to your coach.

Entries are due by Thursday, so make sure to get your entries in as soon as possible. The current entry list is available here.

Hutt Valley Fencing Club invites you to attend the 2018 Central Secondary School Teams Competition on June 23 and 24.

Entries are due by 21 June. Teams must have three fencers, plus an optional reserve.

Registration form is to be filled out by the team manager.

There are two major competitions coming up soon in the Central region.

The Central Secondary School Individual Championships is next week (16 & 17 June) at Wellington High School. Full details and registration can be found here. Entries are due by the 14th June, so get in quick!

The President’s Cup is also coming up. This is a national level open event, so everyone is welcome to compete. This is held 7th and 8th July at Wellington High School, with entries due by 5th July. Full details and registration can be found here.

Just a final reminder that HVFC is hosting a fundraising dinner for the Koalas team / birthday party for Robert at the club rooms tomorrow evening (6:00pm – Saturday 26th May). The dress-up theme is “May the force be with you”.
