REMINDERS: AGM and Party

Just a reminder that there are two upcoming events at the club this month.

The 2018 AGM is being held Thursday night (10th May) at the clubrooms, starting at 6pm. This should not take too long, but we would like to see as many fencers, parents, caregivers and other interested people as possible. We still need nominations for committee positions, so please give some thought as to how you can contribute to the club. Without the hard work of our committee, the club simply cannot continue to operate.

The second event is the Fundraising and Birthday party being held on the 26th May. We need to know approximate numbers as soon as possible, so if you are intending to attend, please RSVP to huttvalleyfencing@gmail.com. Full details can be found here, and payments can be made to 12-3142-0358976-00.

Hope to see you all at the AGM tomorrow!

HVFC May the Force be with you: Fundraising and birthday party

Hutt Valley Fencing Club is hosting a fundraising night to support our fencers going to the Koalas and U15/17 in Australia this year, and also celebrating a special birthday for our Head Coach Robert.

We will be preparing a meal including a leg of ham and other delicious food.

Robert will provide a bottle of wine per table, otherwise it’s a BYO and make sure you drive home safely.

  • Cost: $25.00 a head, all profits going to our fencers.
  • Venue: Millennium Falcon, Grandstand Fraser Park.

We would like to invite all club members, parents, caregivers, and other interested parties to attend the AGM, and have their say in the future direction of the club.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for one of these positions, please send this to huttvalleyfencing@gmail.com. Additionally, if you have any items of general business that you would like to be risen, please send these to the same address.

2018 FENZ Affiliation

Just a reminder that 2017 FENZ affiliations expired on 31st March. If you have not yet renewed your affiliation, please follow this link and sign up www.dev.fencing.org.nz. Select Fencing Central as your region, and then choose the appropriate membership type.

Who should affiliate?
Preferably everyone (choose the lowest $30 category if you are new and not yet competing), definitely everyone who has been fencing with us since last year.
It is not a lot of money, but it makes all the difference to the sport.
If you want to know more about how your affiliation money is used and how it benefits you / the sport, please either talk to us or read through the information on Fencing Central.
