Welcome back to fencing for term 3. There have been a few changes to sessions for term 3, so please make sure to read through these carefully.

Training Schedule Changes
Unfortunately, low attendance and coach unavailability has necessitated the cancellation of both the Tuesday 6-7pm and Wednesday 7-9pm sessions until further notice. All fencers who attend these sessions are welcome to attend any other sessions during the week. If you would like help determining which session will suit you best, please get in touch.

Other Notices
While Robert is overseas touring with the Commonwealth fencing team, his sessions will be run by other senior club members. Individual lessons with Robert are cancelled until he returns to NZ. Feel free to speak to another coach about individual lessons in the interim.

There are still spaces available in the high-performance conditioning program held on Saturdays at 9am. Send us an email for more information or to register your interest.

All training for term 3 will resume on Tuesday 24th July.

The New South Wales Fencing Association invites you to attend the conjoined Friendship Cup Teams Championships and Koala Mini Challenge. These events are for U8, U10, U12, and U14 fencers, and are being held at the NSW Fencing Centre in Sydney from 5th to 9th December, 2018.

Due to anticipated low attendance and limited coach availability as a result of the President’s Cup competition this weekend, the decision has been made to cancel the 10.00am class this Saturday (7th July). We apologise for the late notice of this cancellation.

The 9.00am high-performance conditioning will still be on for those who indicated that they would be attending this week.

Due to the cancellation of the Saturday session, this evening was the last session of fencing for term 2. Fencing will resume again on Tuesday 24th July for term 3. We hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing break!

Reminder that entries are open for President’s Cup 2018. This is a national level open event, and is a fantastic opportunity to fence new people and gain a lot of experience. If you are unsure about attending, make sure to talk to your coach.

Entries are due by Thursday, so make sure to get your entries in as soon as possible. The current entry list is available here.

Hutt Valley Fencing Club invites you to attend the 2018 Central Secondary School Teams Competition on June 23 and 24.

Entries are due by 21 June. Teams must have three fencers, plus an optional reserve.

Registration form is to be filled out by the team manager.
