Thursday and Saturday Class 14/3/19 – 16/3/19 Treadwell Hall

Due to a softball tournament taking place between the 13th and 16th of March, we unfortunately do not have access to our club rooms. Instead, we will be using the Treadwell hall in Naenae. Some of the fencers that have been fencing for 2 or more years would have been to this venue but for those who haven’t, we have included a google maps link below.

There is a change in time for the Thursday 14th of March class will start at 7.30pm rather than the usual 6pm. The junior class that would be running from 6 – 7pm normally are more than welcome to come along also at 7.30pm.

Saturday the 16/3/19 will be running at the usual time of 10 – 12pm.

If you open this link on a phone you will be able to get directions via google maps.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Reminder to affiliate or renew Affiliation With FenCen

Please remember to  affiliate or renew their affiliation with FenCen for 2019. All fencers must affiliate once they start fencing with your club. Affiliation renewals for 2019 must be completed by 31 March 2019 and are good through 31 December 2019.

— The fees are the following:

  • Competitive Fencers 18 yrs old or over – $80
  • Competitive Fencers under 18 yrs old – $60
  • Senior and Junior Club Members who don’t compete outside the club – $10
  • Associate members (non-fencers) – $30

All affiliations fees can be paid on the FenCen website here.

All fencers and associates must create a membership with Fencing NZ as part of the affiliation process.

As you may know, the affiliation fees are used to benefit the entire fencing community in the Central region. So, for those who compete, they help develop referees and maintain competition equipment (pistes, scoreboards, boxes). For those who do not compete, the fees also help support coaching development, first aide training and even support equipment for the clubs. They are a vital part of keeping a strong fencing community and it is important that all of your members affiliate and pay their fees.

To keep up with all the latest news regarding competitions, camps and/or workshops, please keep an eye on the Fencing Central website.
