There will be no Fencing training this Saturday the 4th of July due to the Central Open Championship taking place this weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and please pass on the note to other club members if possible.

We are pleased to announce an up coming holiday program for beginner fencers over the school holidays. It is a great chance for friends and family members to try out a new sport over the holidays.

Weapons:	FIE / S2000
Notes:	Bayonet wires/plugs for foil/sabre are permitted. The FIE requirement for 800N sabre gloves will NOT be enforced. Visor masks are strictly prohibited for all 3 weapons. Leon Paul X-Change masks MUST have the secondary strap. Leon Paul SR71 epee blades (2013-2015) are prohibited for use.

Una, the coaches and the HVFC committee would like to extend an appreciation for everything that Michael has contributed to the club. He has put in many hours helping club members and Fencing Central in a multitude of tasks such as:

• Ran regional weapons control and helped with the past 3 years of national competitions ran by fencing central
• Testing and fixing gear for club and Central fencers
• Assisting club members in every competition with gear and piste side coaching

Michael, it has been a privilege to have you as a member of the committee and mentor for many of our club members. You will always be welcomed back with open arms.

Fencing starts tomorrow, so come along, stay safe by following the Covid requirements, warm up well, keep your distance, just hold back from going full out until you are well warmed up, warm down at the gym and last but most importantly, have fun, work hard and smart.
